Adolescent Reproductive Health Awareness Session
As part of its ongoing commitment to improving adolescent health and well-being, the All Pakistan Women’s Association (APWA) successfully conducted an Adolescent Reproductive Health Awareness Session during November–December 2025 at the Golimar APWA School and for health workers at the APWA Health Center.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Sidra, a qualified medical professional, who delivered comprehensive, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive information on adolescent reproductive health. Key topics covered included physical and emotional changes during adolescence, menstrual health and hygiene, basic reproductive health education, and the importance of personal hygiene and self-care.
The session was designed to be interactive, allowing participants to ask questions and openly discuss their concerns in a safe and supportive environment. A total of 65 adolescent girls actively participated in the session. In addition, 15 children present at the venue also benefited from the awareness activity. The participants showed strong engagement and keen interest throughout the session, reflecting a clear need for continued education in this area.
The awareness session significantly contributed to improving participants’ understanding of reproductive health, hygiene practices, and related health concerns. Overall, the activity proved to be highly informative, impactful, and beneficial, reinforcing APWA’s role in promoting preventive healthcare and informed decision-making among young girls.
