APWA Excellent World School Sukkur Conducts Teachers’ Training Workshops

APWA Excellent World School, Sukkur organized a two-day professional development programme for its teaching staff on 22 and 23 July 2026. Conducted in collaboration with AFAQ Publishers and Oxford, the training sessions focused on strengthening teaching practices, introducing modern educational approaches, and enhancing teachers’ classroom management skills.

Building Stronger Teaching Practices

The two-day programme was designed to support the professional development and capacity building of teachers, providing them with practical tools and techniques that could be applied directly in their classrooms.

The workshops were interactive and engaging, allowing teachers to participate in activities, exchange ideas, and reflect on their existing teaching methods.

AFAQ Workshop: Activity-Based Learning

On 22 July, AFAQ Publishers conducted a workshop on “Activity-Based Learning.” The session highlighted the importance of creating interactive, engaging, and student-centered learning experiences.

Through practical activities and demonstrations, teachers explored different ways of incorporating activity-based learning into their everyday classroom practices. The hands-on approach helped participants understand how these methods can be adapted to suit different age groups and the individual learning needs of students.

Teachers actively participated throughout the session and found the activities both useful and practical. The workshop provided them with new ideas for making lessons more engaging while encouraging greater student participation.

Oxford Workshop: Effective Classroom Management

The second workshop was conducted by Oxford on 23 July, focusing on “Effective Classroom Management.”

The session introduced teachers to practical strategies for creating a positive, organized, and productive classroom environment. Participants explored techniques for improving student engagement, maintaining discipline, managing different classroom situations, and making effective use of teaching time.

The interactive session provided valuable guidance that teachers can incorporate into their daily teaching practices, helping them create classrooms where students can learn more effectively.

Outcomes of the Training Programme

Both workshops were well received by the teaching staff, who participated enthusiastically and demonstrated a strong interest in learning new approaches to teaching and classroom management.

The training also provided teachers with an opportunity to reflect on their existing practices and identify ways to make their lessons more effective, interactive, and student-focused.

Professional development programmes such as these play an important role in maintaining and improving educational standards. The collaboration with established educational publishers such as AFAQ and Oxford also gave teachers exposure to contemporary teaching practices and professional resources.
